As many as 12 astronauts will be trained by Russian space professionals in Russia for India’s first manned space mission, Gaganyaan. Among the 12 astronauts, the best four will be selected for the maiden manned space mission said ISRO’s Chairman K Sivan. Selected four astronauts will undergo rigorous training for 15 months, he added. K Sivan further revealed that a second unmanned mission is being aimed for July 2021 and the manned mission by December 2021.
