On a tour to the home state on his 69th birthday, PM Narendra Modi spoke about his government’s decision in regards to Kashmir. Addressing a rally in Kevadiya Modi also talked about the Statue of Unity and the Sardar Sarovar dam.
The PM lauded the vision of the “Bismarck of India” (also known as “Iron Man of India”) Sardar Patel and said he was the inspiration for taking decision on Kashmir. Modi said that the abrogation of special status of J&K and the subsequent bifurcation of state into two Union Territories was an attempt to resolve years old problem

Highlighting the efforts of Sardar Patel Modi said that Hyderabad Liberation Day is a result of Sardar Patel’s vision. Falling on September 17, the day is celebrated as a reminder of annexation of erstwhile Hyderabad State into Indian Union in 1948.
On Statue Of Unity And Sardar Sarovar
Talking about the Statue Of Unity the PM said that the 133-year-old Statue of Liberty in New York attracts around 10,000 visitors per day, while this 11-month-old statue attracts about 8,500 visits daily.
He said that the Sardar Sarovar dam project has been catering to the needs of people and has benefited the people of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Rajasthan.
On Kashmir And 100 Days Of His Government
The Prime Minister said that he is confident about bringing back the trust and prosperity to the region of J&K and Ladakh with the support of millions of colleagues.
Commenting on 100 days of his government (Modi 2.0) PM said that the “servant”(The PM) is committed to withholding the unity and superiority of India. He said that this government would perform functions faster then the previous one and would aim to accomplish bigger goals than before.
The PM visited her mother’s residence to had lunch with her after his visit to Sardar Sarovar Dam in Kevadia. PM also visited Cactus Garden, Ekta Nursery and Butterfly Garden earlier in the day.
