Rising COVID-19 cases and upcoming festivals are the main reasons why Gautam Budh Nagar Authorities have extended Section 144 CrPC till May 31. This month is bringing some major festive occasions like Eid-al-Fitr, Parshuram Jayanti, Maharana Pratap Jayanti,
etc.

Additional Police Commissioner of Police, Gautam Budh Nagar, Ashutosh Dwivedi said as COVID cases are rising in the district, wearing masks is mandatory in Public Places.

He said, “No one would be allowed to hold any protests, hunger strikes, or procession without the permission of the higher authorities. No person shall carry a stick or any kind of deadly weapon or firearm. Only officers/employees working in police and administrative work will be exempted from this restriction.”

No Person Is Allowed To Prayer At Disputed Sites

Another order was given by the Police of Gautam Budh Nagar also mentions that praying is not allowed for anyone at disputed sites.

The Police Commissioner said, “No person shall gather a crowd of 5 people or more within a distance of 200 yards from the examination centre while social distancing in schools during the exams has to be maintained with proper Covid-19 guidelines.”

No Loudspeakers Near Exam Centres

Loudspeakers are not to be used near exam centres or on the premises and even shopkeepers are also not allowed to sell loudspeakers or similar equipment without the permission of the high authority.

Authority Statement read, “In compliance with the decision of the Hon’ble High Court of Allahabad and the Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules 2020, the use of sound amplifiers will not be allowed from 10 pm to 6 am. As per the order from the UP government, the use of loudspeakers at places of worship and religious processions events should not cause inconvenience to the public, and the volume of the speakers should be within the limits set by the state pollution control board.”
