As board exams about to start, every class 10th and 12th student is doing their last revision to get the best score in exams. Along with them, there is a 43 years old father, Sharif Khan is also preparing for his class 12th exam.
As they say, you are never too late to learn something, this man is proving it but actually giving his 12th board exams after 28 years of without any education.
What’s this news about? Who is this man?
Sharif Khan is a self-taught 43-year-old auto driver who lives in a 10×10 room with his wife and 5 children at Mulund’s Babu Jagjeevanram Nagar. He comes from Pratapgad in Uttar Pradesh where he studied till class 8. After that due to the unstable financial condition of his family he had drop-out.
But he always wanted to learn, so that his family can live a better life. Sharif is the eldest among his all seven siblings that’s why he had to start earning from a very small age. Having the responsibility of seven siblings, he had to drop out of the school.
Though, his interest in learning never dies, seeing that some people encouraged him. People from his auto rickshaw union also supported his interest in studying.
In 2017 he started school again, he is learning from himself, he got 51.1% in his class 10 board exam and know the guy is preparing for his class 12 board exam.
There are many people like Sharif, who has to ditch their dreams to support their family. But there are very few who actually knows that it’s never too late to learn something. This self-taught 43-year-old auto driver hasn’t got any tuition or expert guidance to prepare for this exam. He is a self-taught man, beating also the odds that includes his fractured hand he his set give his 12 exams.
