Spanish Princess Becomes The ‘1st Royal Family Death Case’ Of COVID-19

The deadly coronavirus aka COVID-19 is not sparing anyone. The ‘Royal Families’ have started to fall under its effect. ‘Prince Charles‘ was tested positive for the COVID-19. This time it was a member of the ‘Spanish Royal Family’.

Spanish Princess Maria Teresa of Bourbon-Parma has fallen to the deadly virus. Princess Maria became the 1st royal family member to pass away due to COVID-19. The death of 86-years old Princess was announced on Friday by her cousin Spain’s King Felipe VI. Her death comes weeks after King Felipe VI tested negative. Meanwhile, Spain’s Deputy Prime Minister Carmen Calvo has tested positive for the virus.

Known for her outspoken views and activist work, Princess Maria was nicknamed the “Red Princess”. Her funeral took place on Friday. Amongst other high profile cases was that of British PM. PM  Boris Johnson tested positive for the virus last week. He is in self-isolation now.

Europe has been the center of COVID-19 with Italy being the harsh hit. In the U.K the number of cases is over 19,500 with 1,200 plus deaths. Spain, on the other hand, has recorded over 80,000 cases and 6,000 plus deaths.
