It’s not been much time since Steve Smith and David Warner came out from the ban that was handed to them for the 2018 ball-tampering scandal. But seems like the former has learned no lessons from the experience.
The third test between India and Australia is up for a thrilling finish for the Indians. However, Australians, on the other hand, are struggling to get the Indian batsmen out, which some Australian cricketing veterans earlier predicted would be a cakewalk.
The irritation of not getting the wickets was quite visible as it inspired Steve Smith to do one thing he does best.
Smith, during drinks break, was caught cheating as he tried to unsettle Pant by removing his guard marks on the pitch. His shadow-batted at the crease, and proceeded to scuffle out the guard marks, forcing Pant to retake the guard. Have a look:
The foul play didn’t go unnoticed as netizens came out to bash Steve for his behaviour and reminded him of 2018.
The third test is headed to end in a draw as India needs to survive 18 more balls and Australia, on the other hand, needs five-wicket to win.
Update: 12:45 PM: 3rd test between India and Australia ends in a draw.
