Instagram is a powerful and widely used Social Media Platform. It is primarily a phone-based application. However, ‘Instagram’ has recently announced a feature through which users can upload their photos and videos through the web browser on their desktop and/or laptop. Initially, users were relying on third-party applications to upload photos and videos on the portal. The new update is introduced after a long wait.
Interestingly, uploading media files through the desktop is as easy as compared to the Instagram app. However, the feature is currently in the testing phase. Also, the feature is not available for all users. To check if it is available for you or not, visit the official Instagram website. After this, check if you see a ‘+’ icon on the top right corner. If you found this icon visible then the feature is available for you, if not simply wait for the official rollout of the feature.

Step 1: Open the official Instagram website from your preferred internet browser.
Step 2: Log in to the portal using username and password or other available modes.
Step 3: After successful login, your Instagram Feed page will open.
Step 4: To post a video or photo, simply click on the ‘+’ tab. Now, a pop up will open where you can upload or drag and drop your media file.
Step 5: Now, edit the photo depending on your choice.
Step 6: Insert caption, location tag, hashtags, and then hit the ‘share’ option.
Step 7: In the end, your post will appear on the timeline.
