Sushant Singh Rajput Suicide: Police Ask Yashraj Films To Surface Details Of Contract Signed With The Actor, Exploring Professional Rivalry Angle

As the Mumbai police is investigating the matter of actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death it is exploring the professional rivalry angle. The police have asked the Yashraj Films studio to surface the contract signed with Sushant. Director and Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur also talked about the contract earlier.

As per Shekhar Kapur, Sushant Singh Rajput was to work with him his ambitious directorial venture Paani. The movie was to be made under Yash Raj Films. Kapur said that the movie was shelved due to backing off by the Yashraj’s from the film. Kapur further says that Sushant who was fully immersed in the character from Paani, Gora was devastated and cried when the movie was shelved. The police meanwhile is looking for details of all the contracts that the production house signed with Sushant.

The police recorded the statements of 13 people in connection with Sushant including his close friend and actor Rhea Chakraborty. Rhea was questioned for about 11 hours by the police as per reports from Mid-Day Her statement is going to be very crucial in the case to ascertain the reason behind his depression. The actress used to take him to the psychiatrist. He had stopped taking his medicines when he started to feel better a couple of months back“, said an officer.

Rhea told that Sushant was working on a social service project — Nation For World. His manager said that the actor had another social service project in the pipeline for people who haven’t succeeded in life. It is believed that the police might also ask for similar details from other production houses with which Sushant worked in the past or had signed contracts for upcoming movies.
