While self-isolation is no less than a punishment for most of the extroverts out their, Thailand King is making the best out of his isolation time. King Maha Vajiralongkorn of Thailand, also known as Rama X, has reportedly booked the entire Grand Hotel Sonnenbichl in Bavaria for self-isolation purposes and is staying there with 20 women.
The hotels in Germany had been closed after the virus spread was reported. However, in the case of the 67-year-old King, permission from the district council was taken to shift the King into the hotel. As per a report by OP India, it is not clear if the controversial King’s four wives have also followed him to the hotel or not.
As soon as the news broke out, people came forward to criticize the King not even caring about the country’s lèse-majesté laws. The laws state that anyone criticizing the King can be sent to jail for a period of 15 years.

Activist Somsak Jeamteerasakul, a vocal critic of Thailand’s monarchy, said, “[Vajiralongkorn will] let the Thai people worry about the virus. Even Germany is worried about the virus [but] it’s none of his business.”
Many more people were left wondering if this is self-isolation or a vacation for the King.
