These Cities, States Have Banned New Year’s Parties Due To COVID-19

After spending a whole year in technical captivity, the only thing that many might be excited about is the New Year’s Party. But happens to be, those plans of some are all set to shred into pieces.

Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the New Year 2021 celebrations including social gatherings and parties have been banned in several cities and states across India. Sad news? Well, it would be sadder to find the name of your city or state on the list given below. Dive in!!

1. Ahmedabad

Ahemdabad has been under strict night curfew ever since a spike in coronavirus cases was reported in the city. The night curfew in Ahemdabad begins at 9 PM thus no chance for the city to host a new year’s party.

2. Himachal Pradesh

The state government of Himachal Pradesh has imposed a night curfew in four of its most toured districts – Shimla, Kullu, Kangra and Mandi – till January 5. The government has ordered that this year, these districts will not host new year celebrations.

3. Manipur

We are literally confused if one can host a new year’s party in Manipur or not? Because the state has announced a night curfew from 6 PM to 4 AM till the end of the year. So technically, on January 1, at midnight, can we go out to celebrate? Hmmm..

4. Punjab

Chief Minister Amarinder Singh on Friday ordered the extension of night curfew in Punjab till January 1, 2021. So no bhangra for Punjabis out there in Punjab.

5. Rajasthan

Don’t padharo mhare desh if you want to celebrate the new year at a club or something. Night curfew has also been imposed in 8-15 districts of Rajasthan. Kota, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Udaipur, Ajmer, Alwar, Bhilwara, Nagaur, Pali, Tonk, Sikara and Ganganagar are the districts where the night curfew has been imposed from 8 PM to 6 AM.
