A WhatsApp chat of a young 20-year-old soldier, who recently laid off his life for the motherland, had gone viral on the internet.
The army jawan was martyred on the line of duty of Nov 26 after he succumbed to an ambush, by three terrorists, in a busy Srinagar area. According to sources, the militants ambushed the patrolling party of the Kilo Force (Yash belonged to the 101 Division of the Maratha Light Infantry) Road Opening Party and fired at them indiscriminately.
After his demise, a chat had gone viral where he can be seen chatting with one of his friends back at home.
In the chat, Yash’s friend asks him how he was doing, to which he gave a very touching answer.
“I am fine. But what can one say of our kind of life? We are here one day and gone another!” Yash had replied.
Yash, as a report suggests, has always been passionate about joining the army and serving the country. He had travelled to Belgaum in Karnatak to appear for the Army recruitment process last year.
In recent days, Pakistan has been trying to infiltrate terrorists in India to discomfort the District Development Council elections in the union territory.
A bigger plan on the same lines was foiled recently by the Indian Army after it neutralised three Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists, travelling in a truck on the Jammu Srinagar National Highway, in an encounter near Nagrota in Jammu.
