The first thing on your mind if you are planning to travel to London would be what flight can I opt for, right? Well, now, you can opt for a bus too. Unthinkable? Yes, we were also bamboozled after learning this ‘fact’ but it’s so true and exciting.
An expedition company in India is actually planning a bus ride from Delhi to all the way to London in May 2021.
The firm named ‘Adventures Overland’ has announced the ‘longest and most epic bus journey’ ever that would connect the two biggest capitals in the world. The trip will span across 18 countries and will take as many as 70 days to cover over 20,000 km journey.
The countries that will fall in the route are Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, China, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic, Germany, Belgium and then the United Kingdom.
The idea would retrace one similar journey that was conducted back in 1957 from London to Kolkata. It was called ‘Indiaman’. At that time, 20 people took part in the journey that passed through countries such as France, Italy, erstwhile Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Iran, and Pakistan.
To make the journey a memorable one, the itinerary includes exploring cities across the continents including sites such as Great Wall of China or cities like Frankfurt and more.
The trip will reportedly cost Rs 15 lakh per person and “All the arrangements for stay will be made in 4-star or 5-star hotels and passengers will also be provided Indian food in all the countries,” an official said.
