Responding to the call of boycotting Deepika Padukone’s upcoming movie “Chhapaak” on Social media Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said that “This is a democratic country”.
During a press conference when a question was asked from Javadekar he said, “This is a democratic country, anyone, any artist can go anywhere and put forth his or her view”. Deepika has been taken under the radar by netizens ever since she paid a visit to JNU yesterday.

While in Delhi for promoting her film Deepika attended the meeting organized at JNU to express solidarity to the students who were attacked by masked goons on Sunday.
