Announcement of Two New Additional Railway lines
Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Inaugurates two additional nation railway lines to connect Thane and Diva in Maharashtra. The inauguration will take place on 18th Feb. Further, the office announces that PM Modi will take part in the inauguration through video call.
Adding to their statement PMO said the Prime Minister will also wave off the two suburban trains of Mumbai Suburban Rail.
Ravi Jain who is the AGD PR of the Railway says that Kalyan is the main crossing of the central railway. All the traffic on the north side and south side of the country merges at Kalyan and then move forwards towards (CMST) Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus. There are four rail tracks between Kalyan and CMST, from which the two rail tracks are utilises for slow local trains. And other two railway lines are left for fast local trains, express trains and goods moving trains. Now two new addition, to divert the load and separate the suburban from long-distance trains. He further added to his statement how important the installation of two new rail lines is.

Features of Added Rail Lines
The two additional rail lines that connect the main junction Kalyan to CMST are design with extreme engineering. Approximately the total expenditure to built these two lines are Rs.620 crores. These lines feature a 1.4 km long railway flyover, which needed 21 small bridges and three major bridges. These lines are essential to reduce the interference of suburban trains with long-distance trains. Mr Jain added other information to his statement like these lines will lead to the construction of 36 new suburban trains.
