UAE Terror Attack Blatant Violation Of International Law: India

The deadly drone attacks, which led to the blast of three petroleum tankers, a big loss for UAE, as two Indian civilians and one Pakistani civilian’s killed and six injured other civilians, including two Indians

Abu Dhabi was attacked by one of the biggest drone strikes in which eight people got injured from different civilians and three killed in which two are Indians and one is Pakistani, India has called the attacks on innocent civilians and infrastructure a “unashamed violation of international law”, highlighting that the Security Council should stand united in sending a clear signal against such heinous acts of terror.

On Wednesday on the open debate of the Security Council in the Middle East, India’s Permanent Representative to the UN Ambassador T S Tirumurti expressed strong disapproval of the recent terror attack in Abu Dhabi, in which three people, including two Indians, unfortunately, lost their lives.

“Such an attack on innocent civilians and civilian infrastructure is completely unacceptable. It is a blatant violation of international law. It is also against all civilized norms,” he said.

The UN Ambassador Mr. Tirumurti said unity with the UAE New Delhi extends its full support for unequivocal blame by the Council of this terrorist attack

On January 17 in the morning, the Houthis under attacked the Musaffah ICAD 3 area and the new construction area at Abu Dhabi International Airport, both of which are civilian infrastructure.

 “The Houthis confirmed responsibility for the attacks,” a statement from the UAE mission here said.

The UAE (United Arab Emirates) had requested a meeting of the UN Security Council to address the Houthi terrorist attacks in Abu Dhabi.

On Tuesday S Jaishankar India’s External Affairs Minister also had a telephonic discussion with the UAE  Foreign Minister  Mr. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan two discussed the terror attack.

Mr. S Jaishankar condemned the Drone terror attack in the strongest terms and highlighted that “in this day and age, such an attack on innocent citizens was not acceptable and against all civilized norms.” Mr. Tirumurti also spoke on this concern developments in the West Bank, Jerusalem, and Gaza.

“Violent attacks on civilians have increased in recent weeks. Acts of destruction and provocation are continuing. New settlement units have been announced. We call upon the parties to immediately make concrete efforts to reverse these actions,” he said.
