Russia’s New Assault On Eastern Ukraine

The Presidential Chief of Staff of Ukraine stated on Monday that ‘the second phase of the war has started. Statement arrive as Russia begins targeting the eastern side of Ukraine. These words attracted the attention of Ukraine’s top officials, who mentioned previously that the new offensive by Russia was launched on Monday.

Andriy Yermak, the chief of staff wrote on Telegram messenger Belief in our army, “is very strong”. He mentions this by assuring that Ukraine can hold off Russia’s attack.

Russia’s Shelling In Eastern Ukraine

Four people were killed on Monday in Russian shelling in Ukraine’s eastern territory that involves Donetsk, shared by Pavlo Kirilenko (Regional Governor) on his Telegram Channel.

Russia says they are concentrating their strategic efforts on acquiring control over Ukraine’s eastern region of Donbas which involves Donetsk and Luhansk territories, but they are still intensely attacking many Ukrainian cities.

Battle For Ukraine’s Donbas Begins

The attack of Russian forces to take control of Ukraine’s Donbas region has been described as ‘the second phase of war’ by Kyiv. As Russia begins shelling in Marinka, Sloviansk and Kramatorsk, the Donetsk region has been shocked by the heavy explosions as per local media reports.

  • The battle to win over the Donbas region has started, said Ukraine’s President. A “very large part of the entire Russian army is now focused on this offensive,” he added.
