UP Govt Extends Night Curfew Timings; Read More Changes

UP Govt has taken steps to curb rising Covid cases in the state. Number of active cases crossed 3000 mark on Tuesday in the state which has become a cause of concern.

All schools upto Class 10th are closed from January 6 to January 14.

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a meeting with Team 9 and took several decisions yesterday.

Team 9 has been established by CM Yogi to curb the number of active cases. It will help in rapid decision making, speedier management and effective mobilization of resources in the state.

Night Curfew Announced By UP Govt

UP will impose night curfew from January 6. The hours of night curfew is extended by two hours.

Night curfew will start from 10 pm and end at 6 am.

Number of Omicron cases confirmed on Tuesday was 23; which made overall cases of Omicron in state to 31. Government is tracing and testing everyone who has come in contact with them.

When number of active cases in a district will reach 1000, government will make certain changes. Gym, Cinema halls, spa will start operating at 50% capacity.

Restriction On Weddings

From January 6 number of people allowed in an event like wedding will be restricted to 100 if it is happening inside a closed hall. If the event is happening in an open ground then guest list should not exceed more than 50% of the total capacity of ground.

It is mandatory to use sanitizers and masks if you are going out. Help desk are being set up in every district.

MC & ICCC

Starting from January 6, government will activate monitoring committees and integrated command and control centers (ICCC).

Monitoring committees will work under gram pradhan and municipal councilor in rural and urban areas respectively. They have to identify those who have not received vaccination or have their second dose due. They will also distribute medicine kit to affected people.

CM Yogi said that 3-4 lakh tests should be done every day. Currently, 1.5 to 1.7 lakh tests are done in a day.

48 hour negative RT-PCR test is mandatory for anyone who is visiting Magh Mela in Prayagraj.
