The term “Aadhaar Card” can be explained as a Unique Identification Number that is given to each citizen of India. It is being used as an identity card, opening bank accounts, disbursement of provident fund, availing LPG subsidy, and more. Most importantly, it is used in Income Tax Return (ITR) and at the time of applying for a PAN card, as per the current income tax laws. Therefore, it is important to link your Aadhaar with PAN. Moreover, if you are taking advantage of subsidy or any other benefits offered by the State and/or Central government, then it becomes necessary to update your Aadhaar details. So, keep your details updated over time.
