Uttar Pradesh ‘Bans’ Public Gatherings Till 30th June

As the cases of Coronavirus are on a rise in the state the Uttar Pradesh government has taken another major step. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister (CM) Yogi Adityanath on Saturday said that public gatherings in the state would remain banned for 2 months.

The CM directed officers that no public gathering should be allowed in the state till June 30th. The decision comes at a time when the state has clocked over 1,600 cases and 25 deaths due to COVID-19.

Chief Minister has directed officers that no public gathering be allowed till 30th June. Further decision will be taken depending on the situation” said a statement from Uttar Pradesh CMO. The order would be reviewed depending on the situation said the CMO.

The decision was made public after CM Adityanath had a meeting with chairpersons of 11 committees of the state over the COVID-19 situation. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister (CM) Yogi Adityanath has said that no public gathering would take place in the state until 30th June.
