South Africa born Zozibini Tunzi was crowned the 2019’s Miss Universe in Atlanta, Georgia, US on Monday. In the final round, all three contestants were asked the question, “What is the most important thing we should be teaching young girls today?”
Zozibini Tunzi’s winning answer was, “The most important thing we should be teaching young girls today is leadership. Nothing is [as] important as taking up space in society and cementing yourself,” she answered.
Notably, Puerto Rico’s Madison Anderson was named the first runner-up at the finale while Sofía Aragón from Mexico stood third. Vartika Singh represented India at the event, however, couldn’t qualify for the top 10.
