Uttar Pradesh To Face Prithvi’s Mumbai In The Vijay Hazare Final

New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh is into the final of Vijay Hazare Trophy by defeating Gujarat by 5 wickets. For Uttar Pradesh, the in-form wicket-keeper batsman Upendra Yadav (276 runs) and skipper Karan (225 runs), along with experienced Akshdeep Nath will be crucial. Madhav Kaushik and Abhishek Goswami can also give a strong start against Mumbai.

The focus will steadily be on Prithvi Shaw in the Vijay Hazare final. Shaw has played some astonishing and amazing innings including 105 not out, 227 not out, 185 not out and 165 and scored 754 runs so far in the tournament. The national selectors will surely be keeping a keen eye on Mumbai’s captain’s performance as he and his team take on Uttar Pradesh on Sunday in the Vijay Hazare Final. His stupendous 750+ runs make him a strong contender for the three ODIs, in case Rohit Sharma takes rest.

Uttar Pradesh Probable XI

Madhav Kaushik, Samarth Singh, Karan Sharma (c), Priyam Garg, Akshdeep Nath, Upendra Yadav (wk), Sameer Choudhary, Shivam Sharma, Shivam Mavi, Yash Dayal, Aaqib Khan.

For Uttar Pradesh, under Coach Gyanendra Pandey, the players have shown some solid cricket. Yash Dayal (a left-arm pacer) might bring the ball back into Prithvi Shaw’s to which has been a problem for him. However, Dayal does not have paces like Starc’s and Bumrah but along with Aaqib Khan, he can create trouble for Mumbai’s batsman. Thus, other Mumbai batsman needs to play their roles importantly. Be it Sarfaraz Khan, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shams Mulani, Aditya Tare, or Shivam Dube.
