Virat Kohli Becomes First Indian To Hit 200 Million Followers On Instagram

Whiz cricketer Virat Kohli is known for smashing records at an extreme level. On Wednesday, the star batsman surpassed another boundary with the support of his fans and became the first Indian ever to cross 200 million followers on Instagram. Virat is a fluid social media user and always responds to or entertains his fans on Instagram. This new accomplishment of his is completely a record breaker and is evidence of his influence over the globe.

Virat has become the most influential cricketer with 200 million Instagram followers at his side. Only Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are among the athletes who are still holding the long lead of 451 million and 334 million followers respectively compared to him.

Champ on Wednesday paid his regards and thanked his supporters for their devotion by sharing a video on Instagram. In the video, he has shared a massive collage designed by merging his multiple Instagram posts.

Kohli wrote in captions, “200 mil strong. Thanks for all your support insta fam,” and shared the video.

Our star cricketer is currently resting and won’t be a part of the 5-match T20I series, which is India vs South Africa, beginning from Thursday in Delhi. In the recently organised Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 he scored 341 runs in 16 games, resulting in a score of 22.73 per game on average.

After a few weeks, he was told to back down as India’s ODI captain, as the BCCI decided that the team should be instructed by only one leader. In an event of surprise, Rohit Sharma was appointed after him, and he continued to lead the team in the test match.
