Virat Kohli Dismisses Sourav Ganguly’s Claim

A dispute between Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and star player Virat Kohli has been going on and it’s trending!

BCCI President and veteran player Sourav Ganguly has said that he had asked Virat Kohli to not step down as a Captain of India’s T20 International Team when Virat discussed the matter to the board.

Virat, on the other hand had something different to say.

Virat Kohli said that the decision has been taken with a positive attitude and no one in the board opposed it.

“I told the BCCI before giving up T20 captaincy. I told them my point of view. The BCCI received it very well. There was no offence. It was received well, saying it’s a progressive step. I told them I will continue as ODI captain and Test captain” Virat told media.

Fans have shown a massive turnout in support of the star player and believe that it’s the BCCI who is at fault.

“As a Kohli fan I would like to see Kohli as a batsman more than a captain. But the process which BCCI chose in changing captaincy is ridiculous and shame!” tweets one fan.

“Sacked him, No problem. But telling lies to hide the truth. Virat Kohli is not afraid of anyone. He cleared all the things in today’s conference.” tweets another user.

Senior cricket writer and historian, Boria Majumdar tweeted, “My take on Virat Kohli Conference. The loser at the end of it is Indian Cricket.”
