Watch: DCP Sings National Anthem To Calm Protesters In Bengaluru

Amidst, protests and everything odd going in the country, a police officer in Bengaluru sought to calm people by starting from the roots. And we see it as the best thing on the internet.

A video of DCP of Bengaluru (Central), Chetan Singh Rathore has gone viral where he can be seen singing National Anthem along with the protesters, at the Town Hall in Bengaluru, to disperse them after they denied to the same.

Post singing the National Anthem, the protesters left the place peacefully.

Notably, this comes after people from across the country called for a nationwide protest against the recently amended Citizenship Act. While the protests were staged in a peaceful manner in several cities like Mumbai, protests in other places, including Lucknow and Mangaluru, turned violent.

Cab Protest

As many as three people were killed during the protests and several were left injured, including policemen, on Thursday. The police used batons to quell protests at the protest site in Lucknow, where nearly 10 vehicles were set ablaze. A bus was burned at Sambhal. 

Internet facilities in several parts of India including some parts of NRC have been suspended to bar people from spreading rumours.

Cities that face internet suspension include Lucknow, Ghaziabad, Pilibhit, Sambhal, Bareilly and Meerut. In Lucknow, the internet will remain suspended till Saturday noon.

The internet services in Assam have resumed today, which is 10 days after suspension amid protests. Metro services in Delhi have also been resumed after a day halt on Thursday.
