As the tension on LAC is on a high a video started making rounds on social media. The un-dated and unverified video showing clashes between the ITBP ( Indo-Tibetan Border Police ), Indian Army with the Chinese forces was presented as that from 15th June. The video also shows the Indian soldiers smashing a Chinese armored vehicle near the area of dispute.
In the video, Indian soldiers are seen jostling and pushing back four-five Chinese officials and army men. The shouts of ‘Go Back’ can be heard in the video being made by the Indian side. The video shows that despite being told repeatedly to leave, the Chinese remain firm, and one PLA soldier even lunges towards the Indian jawans.
After this act by Chinese Indian soldiers surround them and a violent brawl ensues. Since the soldiers are wearing masks the video is believed to be of recent times. As per experts, the video is from Sikkim, which has seen confrontations between Indians and Chinese forces since early May.
At present, the latest updates from the LAC say that after 11 hours of the military to military talks between India and China the Chinese have agreed to move back. The reports say that the Chinese troops would be moving back to pre 5th May positions. Meanwhile, Chief of the Army Staff Manoj Mukund Naravane left for Ladakh today. He is there to take an assessment of ground conditions. He would also visit Kashmir.
