The sad part is not when we ignore our mental health but when we do not even realise that it’s getting ruined. The main reason behind this blindness is that we are not healthily connected to ourselves. 1. Spend Some Time With Yourself

You can pick up a habit and it would be even better if it is a healthy one to engage in during your “me-time.”

2. Give Yourself Recognition

We manage to become courageous enough to applaud others’ achievements but what about ours? I understand that there are people who will applaud your achievements. However, on some days, merely getting out of your bed calls for a big round of applause and not everyone understands that. So, give yourself a pat on the back when you achieve those tiny things which seem huge in your head.

3. Forgive Yourself

Everybody makes mistakes and there is no reason to keep the baggage on your shoulders. If you do not let go of the baggage, you keep punishing yourself which is really harsh. Instead of holding grudges against yourself, you should learn to be the bigger person and forgive yourself for your mistake and learn the lessons they were supposed to teach you.

4. Take Good Care of Yourself

When was the last time you put on a face mask and listened to some good music? I hope I am wrong and you remember this moment but if you don’t then it is high time you should start taking good care of yourself. Value your body and take care of it internally and externally. Eat a healthy diet, exercise, meditate, do skin care, read and watch good stuff and do more such things which add to you.

5. Respect Yourself

Respecting yourself is the most important and yet tricky part of being kind to yourself. We are often taught to respect others but there is no lesson in terms of respecting ourselves. Which is why it takes years for us to learn how to do it. However, it is important that we don’t allow anyone to exploit us in terms of our time, space, priorities and more.
