Bengal Assembly Elections Phase 8: 35 Seats To Poll In This Final Phase

In the midst of Covid-19 second wave, voting for the 8th phase of the assembly election in West Bengal is going to take place. A total of 283 candidates will be sealed for 35 seats in the final phase of the assembly election. Voting to held at 11,860 polling stations at 11 assembly constituencies.

The Election Commission of India said that the security measures and Covid-19 protocols have heightened. In addition to this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged citizens of the state to exercise their universal franchise as voting began for the 8th phase of the West Bengal assembly election from 7 AM on Thursday. Moreover, PM Modi also reminded people to follow Covid-19 safety protocols and measures.
