WhatsApp Communities Feature: New Feature To Roll Soon

WhatsApp is most popular messaging app among smartphone users. There are more than 487 million users in India alone.

WhatsApp has been working on new Communities feature, and recently we got a peek of it. The new feature will make the app richer and it will allow you to add up to 10 groups in a single Community.

The feature has been spotted in iOS Beta build. The feature will come on both iOS and Play store very soon.

In this new feature, admin of a community will have more control than admin of a group. Community admin can decide who can message on a group and who cannot.

When members will leave the community they will not be able to view linked groups.

The Community will have its own name and description. The feature will help people to come together. It will help larger groups to get sub groups but still leave a centralized control in admin hands.

Communities will have a feature called Announcement group where admin can send message to all members of different groups. It will be tad bit similar to Broadcast Message feature but it will be exclusively for Community members.

The new feature will also help businesses who are operating from remote settings but have to manage huge workforce. They can form separate departmental groups that can be linked as one unit.

The feature will soon be available for Android beta users. It may take some time for stable users to get the feature.
