WhatsApp Introduces Direct Booking for DTC Bus Tickets within the App

Do you commute using DTC buses? That means you won’t need to get up from your chair and stand in line to receive your ticket. You may now purchase tickets for your rides directly from WhatsApp.

The procedure is easy to understand and convenient for those who often commute by bus. Notably, WhatsApp has already collaborated with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to make the Sam possible. You can use WhatsApp to purchase metro tickets as well.

For DTC commuters, WhatsApp has launched a new tool called QR ticketing. This implies that you may easily purchase your bus tickets straight from WhatsApp. The goal is to improve the convenience and smoothness of your bus ride.

Simply scan the QR code or send a hello message to +91 8744073223 to utilize this service. Everyone may use it with ease because it is accessible in Hindi and English. But first, you need to preserve the number that was previously shared.

You may purchase single-journey tickets for DTC and DIMTS routes once you’re in the discussion. A quick buy tool is available to expedite the process if you frequently travel the same route.

You will be prompted to select your preferred language when you send the message. After you click that, a page will appear where you may choose the destination and the source station. Additionally, you will be able to select between an AC and a non-AC bus. For that, there’s a little toggle button.

You can use your favourite UPI payment method to purchase up to six tickets at once. This implies that purchasing tickets for you, your friends, and your family will be simple.

Millions of commuters would find travel simpler because to this new function, according to Ravi Garg, Director of Business Messaging at Meta in India. Providing a better experience for those who depend on local transportation daily is the main goal.

With the user-friendly UI, you can make travel plans while on the go. With the help of this collaboration between DTC and WhatsApp, public transportation will be easier to use and more accessible for everybody.

Furthermore, WhatsApp has already collaborated with public transportation providers. They collaborated with Delhi Metro last year to provide ticket buying for metro lines in Delhi, Noida, and Gurugram via WhatsApp.

Thus, if you use the DTC, get ready to use WhatsApp to make your bus ride easier than before. Simply use the app, purchase your tickets, and relish the journey!
