WhatsApp Introduces Latest Feature With Date-Specific Message Search Feature

Meta has made it much easier to look for old WhatsApp messages. With the most recent update, users may now use the date option to search for a certain message or piece of media on WhatsApp. This removes the need for users to navigate around the chat window to find a message from a certain event.

Users of Android and iPhone can now download the update, and web users and those using WhatsApp on PCs and Macs can also use the same capability. The CEO of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg, also posted identical content on his WhatsApp channel.

To find a WhatsApp message from a particular date, go to the group or conversation, click on the member’s name, and choose “search.” The calendar icon appears in the upper right corner of Android phones, but it is located in the lower right corner of iPhones.

WhatsApp will automatically navigate you to the messages from that particular day when you click on the calendar icon and choose the date. This makes it simple to search through previous WhatsApp chats, especially for those who have been using the app for a long time.

In the past several months, WhatsApp has added a ton of new features. It has included several text formatting choices, including strikethrough, bold, italic, monospace, and more.

Additionally, WhatsApp has added several security-focused features, making it a secure platform. If you use WhatsApp on an Android device, be aware that you are no longer able to back up your conversations for free on Google Drive since WhatsApp chats are now counted against your allotted storage limit.
