WhatsApp Is Soon Developing A Pin Message Duration Setting

According to reports, the messaging service WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, is developing a new feature for Android beta that would let users control how long messages remain pinned within conversations and groups.

According to WABetaInfo, this functionality will provide users with the freedom to choose a certain time frame after which the pinned message would be automatically unpinned.

The platform is expected to provide three various timeframes for pinning the WhatsApp conversations, including 24 hours, 7 days, and 30 days. WhatsApp users may also unpin the currently pinned message at any moment, even before the chosen time period has passed.

According to the source, a future version of the program would allow users to choose how long messages stay pinned within chats and groups. This feature is presently in development and is anticipated to be made available to beta testers.

In the meantime, it was noted in February of this year that the messaging service was developing a new function that would enable users to pin messages inside both conversations and groups.

Users may utilize the ability to pin essential messages to the top of the conversation, which is a handy tool. Additionally, by making it simple for users to retrieve crucial communications, pinned messages will enhance the organization in groups that get a lot of messages.
