Facing a sort of competition from its nearest rival Telegram, WhatsApp looks to learn from its competitor to enhance the user experience. The popular messaging app is likely to adopt the animated stickers feature like Telegram on its platform.
As per reports WhatsApp may soon roll out Telegram-like animated stickers to the platform as the same is currently being tested on the Android beta app. The feature would be available for only the Android version of the app initially.

The animated sticker category is expected to be added to the stickers tab and the users would reportedly be able to forward these animated stickers to other contacts. By following the simple path WhatsApp > Chat > Stickers button > Plus icon one would be able to see ‘Updates’ for all the sticker packs they have and the ones that are previously downloaded.
