A Quick Introduction to Two Major Features Launched for iOS Users

Feature 1 – Users using the 2.21.71 iPhone version can now view larger media. In this feature, you don’t need to see the full video or image by clicking on it. The video or picture you share or receive through WhatsApp will not appear in a small square box. Instead, you view the media in its original size.

Feature 2 – In addition to the above, iOS users now get the ability to allow settings for disappearing messages in a group. Earlier, only the group administrator was allowed to make such changes of disappearing messages, whether to disable them or not. But with the launch of this new feature, each group member has the accessibility to change the settings of disappearing messages.

However, even after the update, the group administrator still holds the power to whether he wants participants to make changes in group settings or not. Administrators can only set the parameters by modifying “Edit group information”. After this, the group administrator will give you permission to change group settings or deny the request.

The disappearing messages feature was launched last year itself, in which the messages remain in the chatbox for a specific time and automatically gets disappeared after seven days. However, the user is required to enable the settings first in order to use the feature.
