It’s still foggy and chilly, isn’t it?
Getting out of that warm heaven you call ‘bed’ is just another thing that reminds you that winter is still here. It’s been a few weeks now and you love winters but a few things just become a herculean task and a few become heavenly during this magical month.
From washing your hands with cold water to sipping 100 cups of coffee, every little thing reminds you that Winter is here’. So here I am with those every chore that makes us feel the presence of this cool month-
1. Cold water in the tap
Oooooo, you all know how you retreat your hands with lightning speed from underneath the tap when you realize how cold it is. And that’s when the feeling sinks in that winter is here, and you need to remember switching on the geyser as the tap water is bound to get chilled NATURALLY.
2. Chilled toilet seat
Those sleepy eyes that you drag from your bed to the bathroom quickly turn wide and get open AF, the moment you sit on that cold toilet seat. Am I right or am I RIGHT? I bet all of you think of those expensive toilet seats that have an in-built heater.
3. That struggle to get up from bed
I don’t know about others but I get into hibernation mode when winters approach. It an epic struggle for me to leave my bed each morning. I mean why would I want to leave the comfort of my warm blanket and drag myself to work? WHY??
4. No idea of the time when you look out of the window
Ever got the feeling when you look out of the curtains and realize that you are already super late? Well, that doesn’t happen in winters. You definitely get late, but only after you pick up your phone and check the time. The view from your window doesn’t help you determine your Late-Ness. Oh no.

5. Taking a bath is a war
Wow, taking a bath in chilly winters will give the warrior feel. Oh yes, I am talking about the time when you convince yourself that you can’t keep postponing it (coz you have already done that for the past two weeks). And when you finally do hop in the shower, the struggle to get the perfect flow of warm and cold is something you already relate with, don’t you?
6. The love for warm food
In winters you know how much you love dipping your fingers in the warm rice or the sizzling hot spaghetti with gravy that your mom just got off from the stove. Oh, the love for warm food is something everyone catches during the cold months.
7. When two cups of coffee aren’t enough
In summers, it’s all about those icy coffees. And you know its winters when even two cups of caffeine don’t ignite the heater within you. And you end up ordering the large cuppa coffee with extra expresso to get yourself going now that winter is here. Relate much?
8. You don’t panic if you forget food outside the fridge
Ok, if you forget to keep the milk bowl inside the fridge in summers, you know you are going to have black coffee in the morning. But if you do it in now, you know it isn’t going to get spoiled. So, you go dig deeper in your blanket knowing that you will have your perfect cuppa coffee.
9. When you switch on your fan (just for the noise it makes)
Fans give you the most pleasant breeze inside your room during summers, but you can’t forget your friend now that winter is here, right? If you are so desperate, you can switch it on on the lowest speed and drift into sleep as your friend “FAN” sings a lullaby by moving its wings in circular motion. Try it at your own risk.
10. When you turn your cold hands into weapons
Oh, this is the best part of winters. You can turn your hands into a potential weapon. And no I am not even sarcastic. You can ask anyone to do your bidding unless they want to be caressed by chilled hands that will send them screaming away in terror.
