Things can go really weird and difficult at times. And for this lady this situation came when she was at a critical juncture in her life. This woman from Gujarat’s Gir Somnath was on her way to the hospital to deliver the baby. However, destiny had something else in mind.
The ambulance carrying the woman to the hospital was surrounded by a pack of lions on its way. 4 lions blocked the way of the ambulance and started roaming around it. The pregnant lady inside was into labor pains. Keeping the situation in mind the driver could not speed up the vehicle or take some risk.
With no alternative way around them, the ambulance stopped to ensure that the woman delivers the baby inside only. Govind Bambhania, an emergency medical technician in a 108 ambulance, got in touch with a gynecologist on the phone. She ensured that women safely delivers the baby inside the ambulance. As per those on board every cry that the woman let out during her labour, was followed by a deafening roar of the pride of lions.
Even after the woman had successfully delivered the baby the lions kept occupying the spot for another 20 minutes. Both mother and child were in stable condition and were later taken to the hospital as the lions moved away.
