ICC World Cup is right around the corner, cricket fans are excited. BCCI has already announced the list of 15 members of Indian cricket team. Nut, selectors have decided to change the ODI line-up by excluding the middle-order batsman Ambati Rayudu and young wicketkeeper Risabh Pant from the world cup squad 2019.
To replace Rishabh Pant, selectors decided to go with 33 years old veteran cricketer Dinesh Kartik. He is appointed as the second wicketkeeper of the team. On the other hand, to replace India’s number four (Ambati Rayudu), selectors decided to go with the Vijay Shankar.
Not just fans but many former cricketers are also upset with the selector’s decision. As in order to find the perfect balance teams has already compromised a lot. But not anymore, as your favorite Rishabh Pant and Ambati Rayudu are included in India’s world cup squad.
But why had selectors excluded them in the first place?
There has been a national debate over the exclusion of Rayudu and Rishabh. Everyone was asking the same question, whether the inclusion of Dinesh Kartik and Vijay Shankar was the right decision?

A day before the announcement of the world cup squad, five members of the selection team went to a meeting. In which they were shown an analysis of all the player’s profile. This helped selectors to find out how each player is going to perform on the English ground.
When it comes to the wicketkeeping, selectors decided to pick Kartik over Pant. While in the case of Rayudu, selectors were not impressed with his game in the Australian series and decided not to pick him.
Just Ordered a new set of 3d glasses to watch the world cup 😉😋..

Yesterday, Rayudu even posted a sarcastic tweet that reads, “Just ordered a new set of 3d glasses to watch the world cup.” Rayudu was pointing at the selectors who picked Vijay Shankar over him by giving an excuse that Shankar is a 3-dimensional player.
But, now Rayudu might have to return the 3d glasses that he has orderd. Apparently, he doesn’t need them now, as he is flying to England with the team for the world cup.
There is one more inclusion you need to know about
Apart from Rayudu and Pant, BCCI has decided to add 26-year-old Delhi right-arm pacer Navdeep Saini into the team. Although these players are only included in the team as standby players.
Which means they are only going to play if someone gets injured. Maybe this is not what these players wanted, but at least now they are traveling with the team. If someone gets injured they will get the chance to play in the world cup.
