After announcing the Asia XI squad earlier in the day the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced the World XI. South African Faf du Plessis would be captaining the World XI side. Destructive West Indian batsman Chris Gayle would be opening the innings for the XI in the 2 match T20 series.
BCB has announced the series to celebrate the birth centenary of the country’s founder Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Matches would be played from 18th March to 21st March in Bangladesh.
