Few days back Salil Tripathi a Zomato delivery executive died in a road accident on duty in Rohini, Delhi. Last week Salil Tripathi was waiting to collect a food order and a SUV driven by Delhi Police constable rammed him and he died on spot.
Salil was a hotel management graduate and recently lost his job as a restaurant manager and joined Zomato. He has a wife and a 10 year old son at home.
Deepinder Goyal, founder of Zomato tweeted that all employees of Zomato have collected a fund of Rs 12 lakh for Salil’s family. His family will also receive Rs 10 lakh as part of insurance cover.
Goyal also announced that he will provide a job to Salil’s wife in the company. His announcement read, “After the family is past grieving, we will make every effort to provide a job to Salil’s wife Sucheta (depending on whether she wants it), so that she can run her household and support her 10-year-old son’s education going forward.”
“We are deeply aggrieved by the death of our delivery partner Salil Tripathi in an unfortunate road incident. We are extending all possible support to help the family get through this..,” said Goyal in his tweet.
