WhatsApp Rolls Out Many Exciting Features For Android Users

WhatsApp on Android has rolled out several updates. The main page has been updated with a new style for tabs such as Chats, Calls, and more. The update also includes a new Chat Lock feature, WearOS compatibility, and improved Status tools, among other things. Everyone is getting all of the new features. However, because this is a slow rollout, it will take some time to reach all WhatsApp Android users.

Whatsapp New Updates For Android Users

1. Layout Modifications 

The WhatsApp application now has a completely changed main WhatsApp window. The chats, calls, statuses, and communities are now available at the bottom of the application. The users can easily and quickly view all of these if the users are using a large screen.

2. Chat Lock

WhatsApp has also released some new features that include a new Chat Lock feature for everyone. The new chat lock feature will allow its users to lock their private chats which will ensure that no other person has access even if you give your phone to someone else. This new feature will allow you to hide all the contents which will help in protecting your privacy. 

3. WearOS support

WhatsApp has added a WearOS support smartwatch feature. This feature will allow users wearing watches like Fossil Gen 6, Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, and others to use the messaging application on their smartwatches. 

4. Disappearing messages

Android users can now also save important messages also while using the “Disappearing messages” feature. The users will just have to press on the desired message they wish to save for later and choose the prompt ‘keep” to keep the message saved for the future. After you choose “keep” your WhatsApp messages will be saved permanently and the rest all the other messages will be deleted after the certain time period as you have chosen.

5. Status

New overlay tools have been added by WhatsApp for the Status. The new background and fonts have also been updated. 

6. GIFs

The new update for GIFs is that now you need not click on the GIFs on the WhatsApp chat to get them played. This is a very small update it might be liked by a few people.
