The streaming platform, Netflix, has released its much-awaited movie Choked and it is garnering good response from the audience. Directed by Anurag Kashyap, the movie takes you back in the time of demonetisation when the character Savita finds bundles of money, covered in plastic, being regurgitated from the drainpipe.
Only a couple of scenes later she is informed that the money she has found would do no good to help her family come out of poverty as the government had banned the notes she was holding on to.
In a nutshell, the movie, besides the plot, alleges demonetisation of being a failed idea and how it affected the poor instead of the fraudsters. And if you are planning to watch the same, here’s the public opinion you might wanna have a look at:
