It’s Bhaijaan’s birthday today and the dashing “Chulbul Pandey” has turned 54. Well, 54 might sound too much, but when you are talking about the most eligible bachelor of the country then it’s nothing more than a number.
As we diehard Salman fans celebrate the birthday of our loved star we bring to you some interesting and unknown (no, we are not talking about when would he get married?) facts related to his life. So, just check them out.
He Pursued A Course In Acting
Many of you might be living in a myth that Salman got into Bollywood on the back of his father’s (Salim Khan) reputation without any formal training of acting. Well, that’s wrong.
Salman studied acting at actress Daisy Irani’s institute in Mumbai. He learned acting in the institute along with his friends Sajid Khan and Chunky Pandey.
Salman Or Abdul Rashid?
Well, Bhaijan’s real name is not as short as we call him. Salman has the name of his father prefixed with his name. Which makes his name an extended one (like some South Indian name 😜 ).
Salman’s real name is Abdul Rashid Salim Salman Khan. Where Abdul Rashid Salim is his father’s name.
Wanted To Marry Juhi Chawla
While the question that “when would he marry”? is still a mystery Salman expressed his desire to marry fellow Bollywood actress Juhi Chawla. At the age of 27, Salman had this thought in his mind.
In an interview, Salman admitted that during the 1992 Vancouver tour with Aamir Khan, Juhi Chawla, Raveena Tandon, and Divya Bharti he wanted to marry Juhi Chawla. Salman says that “Juhi is a very sweet, adorable girl. I toh asked her father if he’d let her get married to me.” Unfortunately, Juhi didn’t get married to Salman and rest is history as they say.
Marriage Bee Biting Salman Again
After the Juhi Chawla episode, Salman once again got that urge to marry and settle down in life. This came 7 years after the first one in 1999. In 1999 Salman had planned a marriage with his partner and asked his friend Sajid Nadiadwala to search a bride for himself as well.
Everything was set, both Sajid and Salman were to tie the knot on Salman’s father Salim’s birthday and even the wedding invitations were sent. However, bhaijan got a mood swing and backed off days before marriage. Sajid though carried on his plan. While attending Sajid’s marriage Salman said in Sajid’s ears that “There is a car outside, take it and run away”.
Suffers From Suicide Disease
While he looks all fit and toned on and off the screen, Salman suffers from a rare disease. In 2011 Salman revealed that he suffers from trigeminal neuralgia, a facial nerve disorder commonly known as the “suicide disease”.
Salman said that he has been quietly suffering from it for the past seven years, but now the pain has become unbearable. He said that it has even affected his voice, making it much harsher.
Yes, you read it right. Salman refused to play the lead in the 90s hit Baazigar. The movie eventually was offered to Shahrukh Khan and turned out to be a rising point in his career setting the stage for him in Bollywood.
Salman denied the movie as the idea of playing a negative character didn’t appeal to him. Well, he has maintained the same and has never played a negative role to date.
