A threatening revelation has come from Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi’s video conference with state CMs yesterday. Chhattisgarh Health Minister T.S. Singh Deo who was the part of the conference made the revelations.
As per Singh PM Modi said that COVID-19 cases in India would see a spike in the month of June and July. Another important thing that Singh said was that PM didn’t talk about ending the lockdown during the conference. Well, the indications for lockdown 3.0 started coming yesterday only. 4 state Chief Ministers (CMs) attending the conference called for it.
“The PM said that spike in cases could happen in June and July so the coronavirus will be among us for a long period and (present) activities must be done keeping this in view“, said Singh in his statement. “The green zone can become an orange zone while orange can become a red zone, and the condition could become worse in red zones. It would be wrong to assume that if we are in a green zone, we will never get affected“, he added quoting PM Modi.
The PM compared green zones with “teerth stall” ( pilgrimage spot) amidst ongoing situations. Meanwhile, Haryana’s cyber and commercial hub Gurugram has is looking to go ‘Work from home’ till July end.
“MNCs, BPOs, and IT-enabled services (ITES) in Gurgaon may have to allow their employees to work from home till the end of July”, said V S Kundu CEO Gurgaon Metropolitan Development Authority. Coincidently the statement of Mr. Kundu goes in line with PM’s prediction of the spike. With lockdown 3.0 on cards, the wait now is for some official announcements.
