People who have Aadhaar cards can apply for pan through their registered mobile number and get their instant PAN in less than 10 minutes. Also, verifying PAN has become now easier. You simply need to visit the www.incometax.gov.in/iec/foportal/, then, look for the ‘Verify Your PAN’ link, after hitting that option and enter your PAN details. After successful verification, you can easily download the PDF copy of the PAN from the website.
How To Apply For e-PAN?
Step 1: Open the Income Tax department portal
Step 2: Go to the homepage and open the tab to Apply for e-PAN
Step 3: A new page will be open then choose the option that reads ‘Get New e-PAN’
Step 4: Enter the details like Aadhaar number, mobile number and date of birth
Step 5: After this, generate OTP
Step 6: Now, enter the OTP and hit submit.
Once you are done with applying for e-PAN, you may check the status of e-PAN. The steps are as followed.
How to check the status of e-PAN?
Step 1: Visit the official website from the https://www.incometax.gov.in/iec/foportal/ link
Step 2: Then, hit the e-PAN related tab
Step 3: Now, choose the option that reads ‘Check Status/ Download PAN’
Step 4: Enter your Aadhaar number and verify it with OTP sent to the registered mobile number
Step 5: Your PAN status will be displayed on your screen.
