Major Casualty! 7 Dead In Major Fire In Gokalpuri Area Of Delhi

A major fire broke in Gokalpuri area of Delhi causing 7 deaths as per the government officials. Delhi Fire Service Department told that the fire was brought under control as the information got passed to them. Seven dead bodies were discovered from the site of accident.

Government officials said that thirteen fire fighter trucks rushed to the site of accident as the news broke out. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Devesh Kumar Mahla said that the news was received around 1 AM last night post which police and fire department took an immediate action.

Additional DCP said, “At 1 AM there was a fire incident in Gokalpuri PS area. Immediately teams reached the spot with all rescue equipment. We also contacted the fire department that responded very well. We could douse the fire by around 4 am.”

Around sixty huts got burned in the accident.

Arvind Kejriwal expressed his grief for the loss of human life and property and tweeted “Heard the sad news early in the morning. I will go to the spot and meet the affected people personally.” He will visit the families that suffered losses and plan a relief for them so that they can restart their lives.
