As the government announced the creation of ‘PM Cares’ fund for pouring in donations for fighting COVID-19 many have come forward. Be it cricketer Rohit Sharma or Actor Akshay Kumar. Or Industries like Tata group to Reliance everybody has stepped in with their contributions.

Even the common citizens of India are also contributing as per their capabilities. Amidst this, a serious and relevant question is raised by netizens. Why always the onus of donations lies on celebrities. Why can’t people’s representatives that is MPs and MLAs donate? The netizens are asking if each of them contributes then we would get around Rs 245 crores to the fund.
