Road Clear For Fadnavis’s Return, Khattar Hung In Haryana

The results of the assembly elections in Haryana and Maharashtra have not gone the way where most of the exit polls were directed. Though the road seems clear for the return of Devendra Fadnavis the win is not that convincing as was thought.

Congress-NCP led coalition which was sidelined before the election by BJP came back strongly with 100 plus seats falling in there bag. The BJP-Shivsena coalition has all but crossed the 145 mark with 157-`160 seats expected.

In Haryana, the road was not that smooth for BJP as it was 5 years back as the results show a hung assembly in Haryana. Congress has made a significant gain in the state with a rise of 15-16 seats from last time. None of the party seems taking a clear majority in the state. Return of Manohar Lal Khattar as CM is now in a state of question.

The newly formed Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) headed by Dushyant Chautala can be the kingmaker as it has got around 10 seats and can offer effective support to Congress or BJP to form a government.

In Maharashtra Shiv Sena can call for 50-50 formula to BJP as the numbers of BJP is less this time as compared to last time. This means that the role of Shiv Sena would be enhanced and we can see a two CM one from BJP and one form Shiva Sena serving 2.5 years respectively. The possibility of Deputy CM can’t be left out.

Eyes would be on Haryana to see who gets the numbers right and make a claim to form the government. Things are expected to get clear in a day or two and we would see who would emerge as the CM of Haryana.
