One of the biggest builders lost its case in Supreme Court last year which announced demolition of Noida Twin Towers on May 22, 2022 in Sector 93A Noida on 2:30 PM. In a demolition plan that will span just for 9 seconds Noida’s tallest building will be disappeared from the landscape of skyscrapers.
On August 31, 2021 Supreme Court gave an order to demolish two towers Apex and Ceyane by Supertech. The order is just few months from execution and you should know how the building will be demolished if you are living in Delhi NCR. Roads will be affected, nearby residents would have to evacuate and many more formalities will be done for safe demolition.
Nearly 1500 families living in nearby residential areas will have to leave their houses for safety. Roads that go across the twin towers will be closed and the adjacent Noida Expressway will also be shut. 4000 kg of explosives will be packed around columns which will demolish the building in 9 seconds.

Edifice Engineering has got the contract to demolish the towers and the plan was released by the company on Monday. The company told that Ceyane will be demolished first followed by Apex which are 31 and 32 storey buildings respectively. Buildings have been planned to fall like a cascade in an inward direction. 10 levels will be ‘primary blast floors’ and will be interspersed with seven ‘secondary blast floors’.
Utkarsh Mehta of Edifice Engineering told TOI that, “Between 2,500kg and 4,000kg of explosives will be required. A test blast has been planned in the last week of March or first week of April to optimize the use of explosive vis-à-vis safety measures.” The primary blast floors are 1,2,6,10,14,18,22,26 and 30 in both towers. Secondary blast floors are 4,8,12,18,20,24 and 28 in both the buildings. Doors, window frames, grilles and plumbing have been removed from both the buildings.
