Actor Sonu Sood has been the kindest person over the months as he continues to do more than his share for the people in the country. After sending thousands and lakhs of migrants workers back home, Sood now is ensuring they have financial stability when they come back to the cities.
For the same reason, Sood has launched an app that will help immigrant works find jobs.
The app has been named Pravasi Rojgar and has garnered the interest of many companies. As per a report, over 500 companies have already registered on the app to provide employment opportunities in sectors like construction, engineering, apparel, healthcare, automobile, e-commerce, BOPs, and more.
Soun Sood said that apart from offering job opportunities, the app also caters to the professional needs of migrant works allowing them training programs like speaking English.
“Lot of thinking, planning, and preparation have gone into designing this initiative over the last few months, in order to ensure that it is holistic and builds on the work already being done in the country. Extensive consultations have been held with top organisations that are involved at the grassroots level in skiing and placing the youth below the poverty line,” Soun Sood said.
The app features a 24×7 helpline number set up in New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, Ahmedabad, and Thiruvananthapuram.
The actor had earlier started the Ghar Bhejo initiative to send migrant workers back home on buses. Later, when he received more help, he sent and brought people back home via planes and trains too.
