While India has crossed the 10,000 mark in terms of the number of COVID-19 cases some states and U.T. are still safe. With around 360 deaths being reported countrywide these states and Union Territories (U.T.s) have done well to keep the fear away.
While you may be wondering which states and UTs are here we reveal it for you. In terms of state, only ‘Sikkim‘ has not reported a single case of coronavirus in the country. While in UTs Lakshadweep and Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu are the 2 Union Territories that are safe from it.
Apart from these states and UTs 33 states and Union Territories in the country are affected by it. Northeast has been in low in terms of cases countrywide. Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh have reported one case each. States and UTs like Maharashtra, Delhi and Tamil Nadu lead the pack.
Maharashtra is the worst hit with close to 2,500 cases and over 160 deaths. Taking the situation into consideration the government today extended the 21-day national lockdown by another 19 days. That is till 3rd May 2020.
