Grand arrangements are underway in Ahemdabad, Agra, and Delhi ahead of U.S. President Donald Trump’s visit to India. The 45th U.S. President would pay a visit to Delhi on the 24th of February.
During his Delhi visit, President Trump and First lady Melania would stay at the Chanakya Suite on the Grand Presidential Floor of the ITC Maurya hotel at Chanakyapuri. Spanning 4,600 sq ft, the suite costs around Rs 8 lakh a night, and includes steam and sauna areas in addition to living quarters.

The Trump couple would land in Ahmedabad and would make a stop at Agra on their way to the capital. The couple would be welcomed with an assortment of baked delicacies, personalized with a collage of photographs in their suite.

A traditional welcome would be given to the President and his wife. A rangoli made with flowers and eco-friendly material is being planned at the entrance. Tyeb Mehta paintings and illustrations from the Arthashastra would be placed on the walls. Adding luxury to the hospitality would be Villeroy and Boch crock.

The hotel’s kitchen is also sure to stock Diet Coke and cherry vanilla ice-cream, Trump’s self-confessed comfort cravings. Earlier guests like Dalai Lama, Bill Clinton, George Bush, Tony Blair, Vladimir Putin, etc have stayed in the suite.

During the Delhi leg of his visit, Trump would attend open-press event at Rashtrapati Bhawan on Tuesday morning, followed by a visit to the Rajghat. After that, a lunch meeting with Prime Minister Modi is scheduled at Hyderabad House, and an early evening state banquet hosted by President Ram Nath Kovind
